Nutrition Retreat In France: For Wellness Professionals

This is a holistic nutrition camp, suitable for both students and professionals who love food and want to learn while they visit one of the most beautiful regions of Southwest France.  This retreat, designed for small groups of only 4 participants, includes both class time and field trips.  Enjoy the company of like-minded people while eating tasty meals and visiting sites related to the lesson of the day.

Visit the sites of Castle Hautefort and the Museum of Medicine,  stroll through the open-air markets, and discover prehistoric villages.  All you need is a desire to learn, a good appetite, and a love of history and beautiful architecture to have a great time.

Itinerary and Curriculum

Day 1 – Afternoon/Evening – Welcome

Pick up at Condat-sur-vezere train station at 3:30 pm.
Transfer to your accommodations to settle in.
Evening reception with dinner offering an opportunity to
meet fellow guests.
Evening:  Walk through the village/countryside.

Day 2 – Detoxification: Vegan & Vegetarian Diets

Breakfast: Raw & vegan
Field trip: Chateau Hautefort and Musee de la Medecine
Lunch: Vegetarian lunch at home base
Class: Principles of Detoxification
Evening: Vegan dinner in St. Leon -sur-vezere

Day 3 – Healing: Macrobiotic Diet

Breakfast: Macrobiotic
Field trip: Medieval village of Rocamadour.
Lunch: Terrace restaurant with view in Rocamadour
Class: Macrobiotic diets – Balancing Ying & Yang.
Evening: Macrobiotic dinner at home base.

Day 4 – Building: Paleo Diet

Breakfast: Paleo
Field trip: La Roque St. Christoph troglodyte village
Lunch: Restaurant in St. Leon-sur-vezere
Class: The origin of Paleo diets.
Evening: Paleo dinner at home base

Field trip: Sarlat Market Day
Lunch: Lunch in the Sarlat Market Square
Afternoon Class: French Paradox, cardiovascular health & weight loss.
Farewell Dinner: Mediterranean dinner al Fresco at home base
